Moving a .uk, .nz or .bd domain
No auth code, no five-day wait, no extra year. A different mechanism that catches people out at checkout.

Fourteen of the extensions we sell do not run an inter-registrar transfer. Moving one between providers is a change of record made by the registry on the registrant instruction, and none of the familiar steps apply.
Which ones
The Bangladeshi names — .bd, .com.bd, .net.bd, .org.bd — the UK ones — .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk — the New Zealand ones — .nz, .co.nz, .net.nz, .org.nz — plus .au and .co.za.
How it works instead
The registry identifies each provider by a tag rather than by an authorisation code on the name. Moving the domain means changing which tag the name carries, and the instruction is given at the provider losing the name rather than at the one gaining it — the reverse of the ordinary process.

The cart will not take one of these as a transfer at all. It used to price them at the registration rate and accept the order, which is a bill for something that cannot happen; it now refuses and says to ask us.
Do I lose my website or email while it moves?
Not if the ডিএনএস is already pointing where you want it. The record change does not touch the zone — see start using our ডিএনএস for doing that part first, which is the same advice as for an ordinary transfer and matters more here because there is no waiting period to do it in.
Why is there no transfer price on these extensions?
Because there is no transfer to price. What you pay is the ordinary renewal when it falls due, which the move neither advances nor delays.
