Acceptable use

The short list of things that get an account suspended, and how we handle a complaint.

What is not allowed

Phishing, malware, or anything built to take credentials or money from people who did not offer them.

Sending bulk mail to people who did not ask for it, from our servers or through a domain hosted here.

Content that is illegal under the law of Bangladesh, and material that sexually exploits children under any law anywhere.

Attacking somebody else: scanning, flooding, or using a server here as a step towards a machine that is not yours.

Using a shared plan in a way that takes the server away from everybody else on it. Shared means shared; if a workload has outgrown that, a ভিপিএস is the honest answer and we will say so before we suspend anything.

How a complaint is handled

We look before we act. Where something is live and dangerous — a phishing page collecting passwords right now — we take it offline first and tell you immediately. Everything else starts with a message to you and a reasonable window to fix it.

A hacked site is not the same as a malicious one and we do not treat it as one. Most suspensions we issue are for compromised WordPress installations, and the way back is cleaning it up rather than arguing about it.

Reporting something

Write to us with the address and what you saw. A report with a URL and a timestamp is one we can act on the same day; a report without either is one we spend a day trying to reproduce.
