Privacy policy

What we collect

Your name, email address, telephone number and billing address, because a registry requires a registrant and an invoice requires somebody to invoice. Payment details are handled by the payment provider and we hold a reference rather than a card number.

We also keep what the service produces: invoices, support tickets, sign-in history and an audit record of changes made to your services. That last one exists so a question about who changed a nameserver has an answer.

Who else sees it

Registries and registrars, for the domains you register — a registrant is a requirement of the naming system, not a choice we make. হুইজ privacy replaces those details in the public record wherever the extension allows it.

Payment providers, to take money. Suppliers whose products we resell, to provision what you bought. Nobody else — we do not sell customer data, and we do not pass it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

·Invoices and payment records: as long as tax law requires them, which outlives the account.

·Support tickets: kept with the account, because the history of a problem is what shortens the next one.

·Server and access logs: a short rolling window, then discarded.

·Backups: overwritten on their own schedule, so a deletion you ask for reaches them when the cycle comes round rather than instantly.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion of anything we are not required to keep. Write from the address on the account and we will confirm before acting — a request we cannot verify is one we should refuse.

Cookies

A session cookie so you stay signed in, a cart cookie so a basket survives a page load, and a language preference. All of them are set by us, marked secure, and none of them tracks you across other sites.
