The browser does the translating

Bengali characters are encoded into a Latin form the network understands. You register the Bengali name; the encoding is handled for you.

Mail needs checking

Every browser handles these names. Not every mail server does. Keep a Latin domain for email until you have tested yours.

One script at a time

A name may not mix Bengali and Latin characters. Registries reject mixed-script names because they are how lookalike addresses are built.

Register the Latin one too

Point both at the same site. It costs one more registration and it covers the customer typing on an English keyboard.

Can I get a .বাংলা address?

That registry is operated by BTCL. Tell support the name you want and we will find out what is required and what it costs before you commit to anything.

Will it work in every browser?

Yes, in every current one. Some older software shows the encoded Latin form instead, which is ugly but still works.

Should this be my main address?

Only if you have tested mail and printing with it. Many businesses use the Bengali name for signage and advertising and keep a Latin name behind the scenes.
