DNS, forwarding and transfer lock last as long as the domain is registered here. Only the mailbox trial has an end date, and we tell you before it arrives.

Is WHOIS privacy really free?

Yes, on every extension whose registry allows it. A few registries publish the record by policy and no registrar can hide it — the price list marks those.

What happens if I transfer the domain away?

These services go with the registration. Your DNS records stay available for you to copy out for thirty days after a transfer.
