Three steps, in an order that matters: build the zone, check it, then point the domain at it.

Running your zone here means our nameservers answer for your domain, and you edit the records from the same dashboard as everything else. The order below is the whole trick — build the zone first and point the domain at it last.
1. Build the zone
Add the records the domain needs before anything is pointed here: an A record for the site, a CNAME for www, and the mail records if mail is already running somewhere. What each record does covers the types.
2. Copy what already works
This is the step people skip. Before switching, list the records that exist wherever DNS runs today — especially the mail records. A zone that is missing them will resolve perfectly and silently stop your email.
3. Point the domain here
Set the nameservers to ns1.hostbari.com and ns2.hostbari.com — how to change them. Queries begin arriving within minutes and finish moving over within the hour.
Can I keep DNS where it is and still host with you?
Yes. Add an A record pointing at the address shown on your hosting page, and a CNAME for www. You keep the zone wherever it is and only the website moves.
What happens to my zone if I move the domain away?
It stays here and keeps answering until you point the domain elsewhere, so there is no window where the name resolves to nothing. Ask support for an export if you want the records in a file before you go.
